Stock availability
At Polydome we carry an extensive stock of products, many individual items are available for despatch very quickly (within a day or so of order), however Polytunnels and large orders for accessories are picked and fabricated as ordered and depending on the volume of orders in hand there can be a waiting time. Please check at time of order for the current lead time.
Where customers wish to call in and collect rolls of polythene it is best to order a day or so in advance as staff may not always be available to cut the roll on the spot if you arrive without an appointment.
If you would like to collect polythene or other goods on Saturday we will be happy to facilitate this during opening hours (9am to 1pm and 2pm to 5:30pm) but as the workshop is not staffed on Saturday your order must be placed and paid for in advance.

* Despatch means here the goods will be ready for collection by the customer or a courier.

Delivery logistics
Items that are small in size are despatched by post or by courier. The pricing is based on the standard delivery service, if you require express or other services we can arrange that on request and amend your order and price accordingly.
We have our own long wheel base vans (one equipped with a tail lift) for deliveries and we can cover the whole country on a scheduled basis typically once a month. Orders to local addresses (within 30km of Birr) can be done within a week of the goods being ready for despatch.
A great aspect of doing our own deliveries is that it avoids the damage that can result from sending products through courier networks as well as greatly improving communication as we are in control of the delivery and can advise you where our driver is as our vehicles have satellite tracking.
When doing deliveries with our own vehicles we will have one person delivering. We will need the customer to provide assistance to offload items (e.g. to lift heavy rolls of polythene off, or a helping hand where there are a lot of items to offload). For larger structures a forklift if available will save a lot of manual handling.
Our delivery service is to offload immediately beside the delivery vehicle. It will be wise to have extra pairs of hands available if you wish to bring it straight to the construction site.
If the delivery is one that does not require assistance to offload we are happy to deliver the goods without the customer needing to be present (provided we have your Eircode), we will take a photo of the delivered goods as proof of delivery. Once delivered they are under the customer’s care.
