What is the difference between roll-up side vents and static side net vents?

The roll-up system lets you open and close the side to control how much ventilation you get, using a simple manual winder. Static side net vents are open all the time, so they are typically used for hardy nursery stock, trees, canopies and livestock. Static vents are supplied with green windbreak mesh as standard, with tougher netting available for livestock at extra cost.

Do I need a base rail with my side vents?

A base rail is recommended with the roll-up system so it can close down to a flat surface. The static side net vents price does not include a base rail, so it needs to be ordered separately, or the netting can be buried in the ground. Will Polydome’s side vents fit my polytunnel?

The side vent systems are available for 32mm, 50.8mm and 60.3mm hoop tube diameters, in lengths from 6m to 50m, and are designed for a 2m hoop spacing. Prices shown are for one side, and you can order for one or both sides. If your tube size or hoop spacing is different, Polydome may be able to amend the parts and adjust the price, so contact the team to check.
